The Story
A poetic shadow puppetry and object theatre performance for adults, this visually captivating work explores creation, memory, and hope through the imaginative language of childhood. Using flashlights, prisms, paper puppets, and live performers, it creates mesmerizing analog projections that blur the line between reality and illusion. Reflecting on war, migration, and the fragility of life, it offers a quiet meditation on resilience, impermanence, and our shared human experience. The team behind this performance includes Oleh Nesterov, actor, director, and workshop instructor; Paula Mac, theatre producer, manager, and performer; and Nikon Miedviediev, stage lighting technician, actor, and puppeteer. Presented by Teatr Fatamorgana, inspired by the need for beauty in theatre, an independent collective of travelling artists from Ukraine and Poland.
