About
Belcarra Regional Park is a Metro Vancouver park on the forested shores of Indian Arm and Bedwell Bay, just north of Port Moody. Its Belcarra Picnic Area is a classic West Coast day out: a saltwater pebble beach, covered picnic shelters and barbecue areas, and a wharf popular for crabbing and fishing, all looking across the inlet toward Deep Cove. From here, trails wind through old-growth forest to viewpoints and quiet coves, including the moderate hikes to Jug Island Beach and Admiralty Point. With flush washrooms, free parking, and easy strolls alongside longer routes, it suits everyone from families with picnic baskets to hikers chasing coastal views.

Getting Here
Bedwell Bay Rd, Belcarra, BC V3H 4S2
π Transit
Getting here by transit requires some planning, but it's a scenic trip. Take the SkyTrain to a Port Moody station, then connect to a bus that winds its way into the park; just be sure to check the seasonal schedule, as service is infrequent.
π Parking
Be warned: on any sunny weekend, the parking lots are completely full by mid-morning. Your best bet is to arrive at the crack of dawn, or you'll likely be turned away at the entrance.
