-
The garden was meticulously built without nails or power tools using ancient construction methods.
-
Its unique design emphasizes the balance of yin and yang through symbolic rock and water features.
-
Guided tours provide deep insights into the cultural and symbolic meanings of the architecture.
-
Seasonal festivals and cultural events celebrate traditional Chinese heritage throughout the year.
Fun Facts
Built in 1986 for Expo 86, the garden was crafted by 52 master artisans from Suzhou, China — the city famous for classical gardens.
All materials including roof tiles, pebbles, and Taihu limestone rocks were shipped from China to ensure authenticity.
The garden follows the Taoist principle of yin-yang balance — every hard rock is balanced by soft water, every dark corner by an opening to light.
